There are some things you should know
Remember the 6 A’S
ALIGNERS
For your aligner treatment to be successful, you need to wear your aligners 2 2 hours per day and follow your prescribed aligner advancement protocol.
ATTACHMENTS
Small, tooth-colored shapes may be bonded to teeth with more advanced prescribed movements. These will correspond to areas in each aligner to help the teeth accomplish the movement.
AUXILIARIES
You may be asked to use auxiliaries, like rubber bonds and/or buttons, to help accomplish treatment goals.
ADJUSTMENTS
To allow teeth to move and align and for top and bottom teeth to fit together, it may be necessary to adjust in-between the teeth, using a dental hand piece and diamond floss.
ADDITIONAL ALIGNERS
Aligners ore fabricated in botches. It may toke 2 or more botches of aligners to reach our final goal. An additional scan or impression will be required to use to fabricate additional aligners.
AFTERWARDS
After your treatment goals hove been met, we will provide you with retainers to maintain your orthodontic results.
ALIGNER TOOLS
TOOTHBRUSH AND FLOSS
Keep your teeth and aligners clean of food and plaque. Remove your aligners to brush your teeth and rinse your aligners before reinserting them.
CHEWIES
Chewies fully seat aligners around teeth. Use them 10 minutes every morning and 10 minutes every night.
ALIGNER FILE
Gently file any rough edges which may irritate your cheeks and lips. Be careful not to change the shape of the aligner.
ALIGNER CASE
Use the case to store your current aligners and chewies when not being worn.
ALIGNER TOOLS
CARE OF ALIGNERS
Please brush your aligners as you would brush your teeth.
Do not eat anything or drink anything but water with your aligners in. If the aligners do not “fit like a glove”, please give us a coll.
